Bill grew up in an Irish-Catholic family just outside of Boston. Although his parents consistently brought him to church, trying every means imaginable to get him to stop crawling under the pews and start paying attention, he entered adult life with no particular faith in God. During his twenties, Bill came to believe that Jesus really is God, and began experiencing firsthand the transforming power of God’s grace.
After graduating in 1992 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Bill worked ten years for W.L. Gore and Associates, best known as the maker of Gore-Tex® Outerwear. Early in his career, Bill enjoyed using his creativity to invent patented new products and technologies. After a few years, he migrated from technical work to roles in product management and marketing. Beginning in 1998, Bill launched and managed Gore’s market-leading Elixir® Guitar Strings business.
Out of a desire to help others to know and to follow Jesus, Bill left corporate life in 2003 to prepare for pastoral ministry at Covenant Seminary. Upon graduation, Bill and his family moved to Denver to complete a church planting apprenticeship and to begin laying the groundwork for Denver Presbyterian Church.
Bill and his wife Michele are the grateful parents of four children. When not sharing a meal with friends, they enjoy the outdoors, music, photography, reading, and a variety of sports.

Pat grew up in Memphis, TN, where he was always involved in the church and Christian community. During college he developed a passion for investigating what he believed about Jesus, and helping others to do the same. This naturally led Pat to begin serving college students through a church-based campus ministry. It was at this time that Pat met his future wife, Stephanie, who was also working for the same church.
After graduating from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, MO, the Hickman family moved to New York City to serve an Asian-American church and to launch a new campus ministry. During this time, they experienced the beauty of the diverse cultures that enrich our country and the church. This experience also confirmed in them a love for life in the city. Pat and Stephanie were drawn to Denver because of their love both for the city and the outdoors. His desire is to help others to see and enjoy the beauty of Jesus Christ and his Church.
Pat and Stephanie are thankful to have 3 wonderful kids. Pat enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching college football, skiing and other outdoor activities.
