Building a Lasting Presence for Christ in Denver
Denver Presbyterian Church longs to see Christ at the center of our city—bringing renewal, hope, and purpose to one of the least religious cities in America. As a church family, we want to make a lasting impact on both our congregation and the larger Denver community, believing that when Christ is lifted up, people and cities flourish.
To that end, Denver Pres is pursuing a permanent church home—a place where worship and community life can grow deep roots and wide branches. A permanent property will allow us to expand existing ministries, create new ways to serve our neighbors, and anchor our long-term mission in the heart of the city.
We believe Whatley Chapel may be that home. This historic, 24,000-square-foot property features a 700-seat auditorium, ten classrooms, an outdoor amphitheater, and room for future growth. Over the past several years, our leaders have been in conversation with Denver Public Schools about purchasing or entering a long-term lease for the property. Negotiations are ongoing, and we look forward to sharing updates as progress continues.
A permanent location will allow us to:
Host worship, community groups, and discipleship gatherings throughout the week.
Expand our children’s, youth, and family ministries.
Launch new outreach efforts that care for the vulnerable, address economic disparity, and explore faith-based education and service opportunities.

Pray for wisdom, unity, and endurance for our leaders as they negotiate with Denver Public Schools.
Pray for clarity and provision as we seek the place where God would establish Denver Pres for generations to come.

Consider contributing to our Capital Fund—today or in the future—to help us realize this vision. We anticipate it will take $5–8 million to fully prepare and activate Whatley for long-term ministry use.
We have partnered with the PCA Foundation (pcafoundation.com) to facilitate both cash and non-cash donations in ways that maximize tax benefits.
